Well, Dave’s on hand to impart his substantial dobro knowledge and show you how this musical curio works. He’s a highly experienced player and will be bringing along a second dobro for students to try if you don’t have your own.

Bluegrass and Old Time songs are all about intricate harmonies and in this class you’ll learn 2 songs with 3-part harmonies. This is a FREE class in the main hall, so there’s no limit on numbers, and we encourage ANYONE who really wants to get singing to come along and join in a fun, uplifting session.
Want to get that authentic Bluegrass banjo sound? Take some 5-string, finger picking tips from (probably) the best banjo-player in the UK! Leon is a highly experienced tutor who has been performing and recording for decades and in this class he’ll cover the basics and beyond of Bluegrass playing.
There’s always something new to learn on guitar and Bluegrass is the music that keeps on giving! Jason is a renowned Bluegrass guitar player and in this class he’ll share his expansive knowledge and technique including playing accompaniment and taking solo breaks.

Old Time has roots from these shores and in this class you can discover new (and old!) tunes and learn about Bruce’s own playing technique.
Clawhammer (or Old Time) banjo, is a style of playing that pre-dates the finger-picking style of Bluegrass banjo. Allison is an extraordinary player who pushes the boundaries whilst staying true to this style’s roots. She’ll cover ‘clawhammer’ technique, tricks n’ licks and get you familiar with some popular Old Time tunes!
